Politics Expert From Pace Previews Mid-Term Elections

Mimi Rocah, a former federal prosecutor, TV commentator and Distinguished Fellow in Criminal Justice at Pace Law School will be a featured speaker on Wednesday, Oct. 31 when Pace University hosts The Business Council of Westchester’s Political Leadership Series: "Red Wave, Blue Wave: The 2018 Mid-Term Elections."

Frequently featured on MSNBC and NBC as a legal analyst, Rocah has appeared on All in With Chris Hayes, The Rachel Maddow Show, The 11th Hour, Hardball, The Last Word and other television news shows to discuss a range of topics including President Trump’s immigrant ban, the Robert Mueller special investigation and the recent Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Prior to her employment at Pace Law School, Rocah served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York from February 2001 until October 2017. 

Rocah prosecuted and tried numerous cases that included several high-profile organized crime convictions.

The mid-term elections on Nov. 6 could decide the balance of power in Congress as well as in the New York State Senate. 

Also participating in Wednesday's program will be Geoff Berman, executive director of the state Democratic Party; Edward Cox, chairman of the state Republican Party; John Flanagan; state Senate Majority Leader; Andrea Stewart Cousins of Yonkers, state Senate Minority Leader and Michael Gianaris; chair of the state Senate Democratic Campaign Committee.

The Business Council of Westchester’s Political Leadership Series will be held from 8 a.m. to 11a.m. at Wilcox Hall at Pace University, 861 Bedford Road, in Pleasantville.

Admission is $40 for members and $50 for future members. Continental Breakfast will be served.
